This PACFA endorsed, 2-day intensive program is designed for clinicians, practitioners, equine assisted therapists, and mental health workers who run group sessions as part of their role. As a group facilitator you have a duty of care to develop and maintain a safe space for participants – however, in a therapeutic setting this can be challenging. Participants can be triggered by others’ story; some may flood or overwhelm which can rupture in the group and the flow of the session.
This highly interactive program will help build your knowledge, confidence, and skills in facilitating trauma-informed groups and programs. Over the 2-days you will learn how to hold space, develop trust and cohesion, set firm boundaries and guidelines and respond to challenges of group work.
